Himalayan flood disaster explained: What triggered the Nepal-China catastrophe? | DW News

A devastating flood has killed hundreds and left more than 1,500 people missing along the Nepal-China border. Scientists say the disaster began high in the Himalayas when rock, ice and water collapsed into a river system below.
Now a newly formed lake upstream is raising fears of further flooding.
