It’s time to put the nature back into nature strips 🌸

Research fellow Dr Philippa Bell from the Faculty of Science led a project in Merri-bek Council to transform drab nature strips with flowers and plants. Not only has it brought some colour and whimsy to the streets of Merri-bek, but it’s attracted more pollinator insect visitors, who are crucial for growing food and an important part of our ecosystem.
