H.O.L. (Heralds of Light)은 1997년 고신대학교 CCM 밴드 활동에서 시작된 크리스천 음악 프로젝트입니다.
‘Heralds of Light’는 **‘빛의 사자들’**이라는 의미를 담고 있으며, 음악을 통해 세상에 빛과 희망, 자유와 복음의 메시지를 전하고자 시작되었습니다.
1990년대 CCM을 기반으로 출발했지만, H.O.L.은 전통적인 찬양 음악의 형식에 머무르지 않습니다. 록, 얼터너티브 록, 메탈, 랩, 강렬한 기타 리프와 베이스 연주 등 다양한 음악적 요소를 결합하여 **CCM이 가진 메시지를 보다 새롭고 강렬한 사운드로 표현하는 것**을 음악적 방향으로 삼고 있습니다.
초기 밴드 활동 당시 만들어졌던 자작곡들을 바탕으로 오랜 시간이 지난 지금 다시 음악을 복원하고 새롭게 편곡하며, H.O.L.만의 새로운 음악 세계를 만들어가고 있습니다.
H.O.L.의 음악에는 신앙뿐 아니라 인간의 삶, 우정, 자유, 상처, 회복, 사랑 그리고 하나님을 향한 질문과 고백이 함께 담겨 있습니다.
“빛의 사자들이다. 어서 가서 너의 빛을 전하라.”**
이 메시지는 1997년부터 지금까지 이어져 온 H.O.L.의 정체성이며, 앞으로 한국을 넘어 더 많은 사람들에게 새로운 방식의 크리스천 음악을 전하는 것이 H.O.L.의 목표입니다.

H.O.L. (Heralds of Light)

H.O.L. (Heralds of Light) is a Christian music project that began in 1997 through CCM band activities at Kosin University in South Korea.

The name “Heralds of Light” means “messengers of light.” H.O.L. was founded with a vision to share messages of light, hope, freedom, and the Gospel with the world through music.

Although its roots are grounded in 1990s CCM, H.O.L. does not remain within the traditional boundaries of contemporary Christian music. The project combines a wide range of musical elements—including rock, alternative rock, metal, rap, powerful guitar riffs, and dynamic bass lines—to express the message of CCM through a fresh, bold, and powerful sound.

Based on original songs written during the band’s early years, H.O.L. is now restoring and reimagining those works after nearly three decades, creating a renewed musical identity while preserving the spirit of its beginnings.

The music of H.O.L. speaks not only about faith, but also about life, friendship, freedom, pain, healing, love, and the questions and confessions of the human heart before God.

“We are the Heralds of Light. Go forth and let your light shine.”

This message has remained at the heart of H.O.L.’s identity since 1997.

Today, H.O.L. continues its journey with a vision to go beyond Korea and introduce a new expression of Christian music to people around the world—music that carries the Gospel with honesty, energy, creativity, and uncompromising sound.
