We often believe that choosing a career is a personal decision. But how much of that
choice is really ours? After more than two decades of working with young people in training, placements, mentoring, and career development, Anish Srivastava has seen thousands of students make one of the most important decisions of their lives, often influenced by marks, parents, peers, trends, social expectations, salary packages, and the fear of missing out. This talk explores a different dimension of career choice: the ability to step back from these influences and consciously decide what kind of future we want to create. Anish Srivastava is Dean – Corporate Relations & Advancement at KPRIT, Hyderabad, with over 24 years of experience across industry, academia, talent acquisition, training and corporate relations. He has spent his career building industry–academia connections and empowering young professionals for the evolving world of work. A researcher and published author, his areas of interest include leadership, employee engagement and workforce analytics. He holds an MBA in Sales & Marketing and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management from Kalinga University.
