A bunch of these chatbot companies have been going around flaunting how their most advanced secret models are breaking containment and hacking outside companies, but they really don’t like it when their employees tell others about it
After discussing matters with a third party AI safety group, three employees at OpenAI were fired for “violating our policies on accessing and handling sensitive company information”.
Those 3 folks, though, were on the AI safety team at the company. So the safety team was let go for talking to a safety group about safety issues involving an unsafe AI model.
