“BLOW UP,” P1Harmony’s tenth mini album, embodies the story of P1Harmony completing their long-time journey as a group of heroes, returning and carrying out their final mission. It portrays their narrative as a group of heroes, in their own style, which has been expanding endlessly since their debut.
The heroes portrayed by P1Harmony are cheerful until the end. They have been showing their quirky and humane sides, while carrying out their duty of saving the world and expanding their story as heroes, which sets them apart from different hero stories. This album portrays P1Harmony carrying out their final mission cheerfully, completing P1Harmony’s story as a group of heroes.
“BLOW UP,” the title track, is a song of hyper pop genre that unfolds the original sound aesthetics of PC music. Explosive sound created by the glitchy synthesizer and hyper drums present a new feeling of freedom which has never been experienced. This song, embodying the thrilling journey of breaking through the limits, moving forward, and growing together, imprints P1Harmony’s unmatched journey, and gives momentum to the members’ unstoppable drive forward.
The performance for “BLOW UP” focuses on expressing the rhythm and vibe of the music through movements. It emphasizes the music’s energy by changing the speed and accent of the movements according to the flow of the song. In particular, the opening naturally blends the groove of the song with movements delicately portraying the beats and the rhythm, and the chorus directly expresses the speed of the song with choreography that makes the members appear as if they are racing across the sky. Additional movements that emphasize the members’ characteristics and expressions show the group’s unique free energy, and complete P1Harmony’s dynamic performance.
This album is also a blend of P1Harmony’s deep reflections and styles of music. INTAK and JONGSEOB participated in writing the lyrics for all the tracks, including the title track. KEEHO is also credited as a lyricist for “element” and a lyricist and composer for “MOMENTUM.” Through the members’ passionate participation, P1Harmony’s style and stories are embodied more vividly.
Not setting limits. That’s how P1Harmony creates new stories and new music. After finishing their final mission as a group of heroes, P1Harmony now leaves orbit and heads to a greater world beyond. “BLOW UP” completes P1Harmony’s long narrative as a group of heroes and signals the beginning of a new chapter as they push beyond their limits and reach higher.
