Can too much of a good thing become harmful? And can what we fear the most eventually become our greatest strength? Drawing on Carl Jung's concept of Enantiodromia; the idea that everything, when pushed to its extreme, transforms into its opposite, Doha explores the delicate balance that shapes both individuals and civilizations. Through a fascinating blend of geology, Egyptology, ancient history, philosophy, and personal reflection, her talk reveals how nature, history, and even our own lives are governed by the same timeless pattern: every extreme carries the seed of its opposite. Doha Abdallah is a licensed tour guide and a graduate of the Faculty of Tourism Guidance, where she graduated top of her class with academic excellence. Passionate about Egyptology, she is known for bringing Ancient Egypt to life through its everyday stories, correcting common misconceptions, and uncovering lesser-known insights that deepen our understanding of one of history's greatest civilizations. Her work also extends to education, having contributed to The Inclusive Training Playbook for Higher Education through her chapter, Engage, Include, and Interrupt, where she explores how Egyptology can become more engaging, inclusive, and humancentered in both guided tours and academic spaces. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
