In the closing hours of Israel’s election campaign, opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot is making a final appeal to voters on leadership and trust. But as security dominates the race, the question of peace with the Palestinians remains largely absent from the political debate. DW talks to Avraham Burg, a former speaker of the Israeli Parliament and Ofer Shelah, a former Knesset member, for their views as Israelis prepare to vote in the first elections since the October 7 terror attacks.
