Merz calls AfD 'remigration' plan 'ethnic cleansing' in fiery debate | DW News

Days after an election in the eastern GERMAN state of Saxony-Anhalt gave the far-right AfD PARTY its best ever result in a state election, its co-leader Alice Weidel and Chancellor Friedrich Merz have faced off in the German Parliament. Amidst personal attacks and ominous warnings, Merz also likened the AfD’s so called ‘remigration’ plan to ethnic cleansing.
