Postmatch Press Conference | Pat Noonan | 10/28/26

FC Cincinnati Head Coach Pat Noonan speaks with the media following a 2-2 road draw against Inter Miami CF in Major League Soccer play. Noonan assesses Cincinnati’s response after falling behind, the team’s second-half improvement and the frustration of conceding after taking a late lead.

Noonan discusses how warm conditions and accumulated minutes contributed to a slower, more controlled first half before FC Cincinnati increased the tempo and improved its attacking field position after halftime. He also addresses careless turnovers that created transition opportunities for Miami, along with defensive spacing and communication when dealing with wide service and runners around the penalty area.

The conversation also covers contributions from Kenji Mboma Dem and Sami Gidi, who scored for Cincinnati. Noonan explains the decision to hold Pavel Bucha out while managing lower-leg issues following a heavy workload and discusses Mboma Dem leaving the match after picking up a knock. Despite the disappointment of not seeing out the lead, Noonan views earning a point on the road as an important result.
