AOIC 2026 Highlights - From Ideas to Ocean Solutions

From September 14 to 18, 2026, young innovators from maritime and fisheries universities across Asia gathered in Busan, Republic of Korea, for the AMFUF Ocean Innovation Challenge (AOIC 2026), hosted by Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU).

Under the theme "From Ideas to Ocean Solutions," AOIC 2026 brought together 30 students representing 15 teams from universities across Asia to share creative ideas, explore innovative solutions to challenges facing our oceans, and build lasting international friendships.

Throughout the five-day program, participants engaged in:
