이 노래는 나에게는 언제나 소녀였던 사라를 떠올리며 쓰고 있었어요.
갑작스럽게 많이 아프셨고, 끝내 이 노래를 들려드리지 못한 채 먼저 떠나셨어요.
노래가 세상에 나온 날은 사라의 사십구재예요.

사라는 이렇게 살았고, 숨을 고르며 버텼고,
그 흔적은 아직 여기에 남아 있어요.

이 곡은 사라를 보내는 노래라기보다,
그분이 세상에 남겨둔 태도를 조용히 기억하는 노래예요.

This song was written while thinking of Sara, who was always a girl to me.She became suddenly very ill,and left before I could ever play this song for her.
The day this song is released is the 49th day since her passing.

Sara lived this way pausing to catch her breath, enduring quietly
and the traces of that life are still here.

This song is not so much about sending Sara away,but about gently remembering the way she chose to live,and the attitude she left behind in the world.
