Why do we even need Steam anymore? Chrome’s got everything you need now.
In a clearly non-recommended way of doing things, a modder just got DLSS 5 sloptracing to work within web browsers that support the new standard of WebGPU, like us getting it on super old Nvidia cards.
WebGPU has been around for a little bit of time now, but it gives your internet peruser much more direct access to your graphics card than the previous methods that everyone was relying on.
The Neural rendering addition to the in-browser assets isn’t without its flaws and while there is a demo, the whole github project isn’t released yet.
The biggest surprise is that outside of Nvidia cards, the modder also got it working on Apple Silicon. So you Mac Boys can also ruin your perfectly fine art direction.
