미여지뱅뒤 Trailer

미여지뱅뒤는 PC에서 관람하는 제주 신화 세계관의 인터렉티브 메타버스형 공연입니다.

관객은 푸른 나비를 따라 이승과 저승 사이, 미여지뱅뒤라는 공간에서 신들을 찾아 불러오게 되는데요.

제주는 일만 팔천 신들이 살고 있는 신화의 땅으로 불렸지만,
계속되는 환경 파괴와 오염으로 신들은 하나 둘 제주를 떠나고 있습니다.

신과 인간을 이어주던 심방(샤먼)조차 점점 사라지는 지금,
관객은 심방에게 신들을 다시 불러오라는 미션을 받고
극을 이끄는 ‘본주’가 되어 미여지뱅뒤의 여정을 떠나게 됩니다.

이번 작품은 제주에서 한국문화예술위원회의 창작주체사업 지원을 받아
무려 3년에 걸쳐 기획·제작된 공연입니다.

MiyeojiBaengdui is an interactive metaverse performance that brings the world of Jeju mythology to life on PC.

Following the blue butterfly, the audience journeys through MiyeojiBaengdui—a realm between life and death—seeking out and calling back the departed gods.

Jeju has long been known as the island of 18,000 gods, yet with ongoing environmental destruction and pollution, the gods have slowly abandoned the island.

Even the Simbang (shamans), once the bridge between gods and humans, are disappearing.
Now, the audience is given a mission by the Simbang:
to become the Bonju (ritual leader) and guide the story, bringing the gods back through the journey of MiyeojiBaengdui.

This work, supported by the Arts Council Korea, has been in the making for three years in Jeju—
a bold creative experiment presenting new possibilities for gugak (traditional Korean music).
