Germany's highest-ranking general elected as Chair of NATO's Military Committee | DW News

General Carsten Breuer is the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, Germany's military. As Chief of Defense he is the main military advisor to the German government. On Saturday in Copenhagen, Breuer was elected Chair of NATO's Military Committee. He will take on the role as main military advisor to the NATO Secretary-General in Summer 2027.
