Can US-Iran diplomacy restart? Marandi says commitments come first

Mohammad Marandi, Iranian political commentator and University of Tehran professor, tells The Heat that a return to diplomacy depends on Washington honoring its commitments. Iran remains prepared for renewed US strikes and retains leverage over oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, he says.

Marandi also discusses whether US oil reserves can pressure Tehran, and responds to allegations over a security incident near RAF Fairford in the UK.
