With the help of the Federal Government’s Medical Treatment Overseas Program, Kaela Graham-Bowman was able to partake in the US$2 million medical trial in New York called Tecelra, a cutting-edge immunotherapy that, while it isn't a cure, has proven to be successful - with about 40% of Synovial Sarcoma patients responding to the treatment.
