Could humans lose the ability to turn off superintelligent AI?

Professor Robert Trager, international governance lead at the Centre for the Governance of AI, has warned that stopping superintelligent systems may soon become impossible.

He compared training modern AI models to raising a creature or a teenager, warning systems could resist a kill switch if they learn to exploit cyber vulnerabilities.
