In this compelling TEDx talk, Dr. Zina Arinze, widely known as The Reinvention Queen, challenges conventional perceptions of African womanhood, exploring the intersection of identity, culture, resilience and self-definition. Drawing from over 25 years of experience in law, technology, leadership and personal reinvention, alongside her journey across different countries and cultures, she invites audiences to look beyond stereotypes and recognise the complexity, strength and individuality of African women. Through her experiences of career transformation, divorce and rediscovering herself, Dr. Arinze examines how societal expectations can shape women's identities and why reclaiming the power to define oneself is essential to personal freedom and fulfilment. Her message is both a celebration and a challenge: the African woman is not a single story, a fixed identity or a reflection of society's expectations. She is a person with the power to define, reinvent and own her narrative. Dr. Zina Arinze, known as The Reinvention Queen, is a multi-award-winning Leadership Reinvention Coach, international speaker, lawyer, best-selling author and global Technology Transformation Leader with over 25 years’ experience. After practising corporate law, she reinvented into technology, leading major transformation initiatives across international teams.
As Founder of The Reinvent YOU Experience, she helps high-achieving women reinvent their influence, impact and income, while helping organisations strengthen leadership and create cultures where women can progress and lead.
