China's five initiatives and the future of BRICS

At the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the group to be a pioneer in innovation, peace and stability, exchanges among civilizations and global governance reform. He also followed that with five initiatives for greater BRICS cooperation, covering AI and trade and development, the digital economy, smart manufacturing and talent development.
How should we all understand China's vision for the future of BRICS? Can the group help transform the Global South from rule-takers to rule-shapers? As BRICS enters its third decade, can it turn an ambitious agenda into concrete results?
