Beeyond Amazing: The Journey of an Accidental Apiarist | Ishika Anand | TEDxLAHS

Her talk sheds light on the world’s most crucial creatures whose importance is often invisible to us: bees. By understanding what exactly they do and how we can support them, humans might just be able to learn a thing or two from our buzzing friends. Ishika Anand is a sophomore at Los Altos High School. She has a passion for engineering and is a part of the school’s robotics team, Eaglestrike. Outside of the classroom, she is on the Varsity Field Hockey team as a goalkeeper and learns Indian classical dance. Ishika is an avid beekeeper, and loves to advocate for pollinators and the environment through her involvement in the LAHS Green Team. She hopes to inspire others to give a voice to the creatures that help us so much, yet go unnoticed. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
