At Kambui Secondary School for the Deaf, a new robot powered by artificial intelligence is turning sign language into an interactive STEM teaching tool. Built from recycled plastics and backed by Kenya’s first large-scale AI dataset for Kenyan Sign Language, the Zerobionic project aims to make science lessons accessible, affordable and career-building for deaf students.
