On September 1, 2026, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the 26th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the "SCO Plus" meeting in Bishkek and delivered important speeches.
It was here in 2013 that President Xi attended his first SCO Summit. On the 25th founding anniversary of the SCO, Xi returned to Bishkek. Xi put forward a four-point proposal on the SCO's mission to shoulder historical responsibilities and steer the course of history, as well as three suggestions on better leveraging the role of the SCO, guiding the SCO toward higherquality development and contributing more to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
