Is everything OKAY over at Sony?
Harassment from Customers has become such an issue at Sony Japan over their discontinuation of physical discs that they’ve had to implement policies to protect their workers
Rather than apologizing, walking back their decision, or saying ANYTHING other than quote “reasonable consumers would not be misled into believing they own digital games” - they’ve quadrupled down and made it expressly not-allowed to do things like show up to their headquarters unannounced and verbally assault their employees
They’re literally being sued by the Federal Trade Commission and a BUNCH of US states, too - but they’re continuing to “cautiously move forward” regardless of the backlash that’s now being directed at individual people in their company who have nothing to do with the decision making process
