A Message Is Only as Good as Its Delivery.

Something can seem obvious to us and still be confusing to someone else. The way we respond can make them comfortable asking another question or embarrassed to admit they’re lost. That matters, because a nod doesn’t always mean the message got through. Helping someone understand takes patience, but also a willingness to explain things differently instead of expecting everyone to think like us. Before getting frustrated that someone doesn’t understand, it’s worth asking: have we explained it in a way that makes sense to them?
