Born in 615 as the son of King Uija of Baekje, Buyeo Yung became crown prince at the age of thirty, only to lose the position amid a struggle for power.

Then came 660.

As the allied forces of Tang China and Silla destroyed Baekje, Buyeo Yung was forced to surrender alongside his father, King Uija.

But his story did not end with surrender.

Taken to Tang China, he became a subject of the empire. Later, he returned to the former lands of Baekje and took part in suppressing the Baekje Revival Movement led by his own younger brother, Buyeo Pung.

Two brothers. Two banners. One tragic battlefield.

Buyeo Yung follows his 68-year life— from crown prince of a fallen kingdom, to subject of the conqueror, and finally to the nominal Governor of Ungjin.
