Every Perth Heat home game runs on people you never see on the scoreboard.
We sat down with Dea Saupold, Head of Community at the Perth Heat, to talk about the volunteers, host families and behind-the-scenes crew who make NSR Hire Ballpark one of the best places to watch baseball in Australia — and how you can be part of it this season.
We also get into the Host Family Program — the families who open their homes to players from across Australia and around the world, and the lifelong friendships that come out of it.

⚾ WANT IN? HERE'S HOW:
🎟️ Game Day Volunteers — Ticketing & Entry, Merchandise, Fan Engagement, Hospitality & VIP, Game Day Ops, Groundskeeping. Every game or just when you can. Training provided.

💼 Off-Season Volunteer Network — Got skills in sponsorship, grant writing, marketing, events, legal, finance or schools programs? A few hours or an ongoing project — either way, we want to hear from you.
→ [email protected]
🏠 Become a Host Family — Spare room? Host families receive a financial contribution from the club, season memberships and merch packs. More than accommodation — a home away from home.

🔥 The Perth Heat is a proud Western Australian institution built on a rich history, a strong community and a shared passion for growing the game across our state. Everything we do is made possible by the people who volunteer their time, skills and enthusiasm.
