This is a video of the Maehwa Train Cafe with cartoonist Lee Hyun-se, creator of *The Fearful Foreign Legion*.
They say time flows like a river, and indeed, over 70 years have passed silently, without a sound or a mark, flowing by indifferently.
This village called Maehwa-ri is a place filled with memories from my youth, up until middle school.
Many of the friends from those days have passed away.
I remember following my mother, who walked from Deoksin to Maehwa Market, passing the pine trees on the rocks in Baekok-dong, resting at the shelter at the top of the hill in Baekok-dong, and stopping by the rice mill by the stream at the entrance of Maehwa Village to eat some potatoes.
Since I became a fisherman, I have gone there every spring to photograph red plum blossoms, and when it snows, to photograph plum blossoms in the snow.
If you go to this Maehwa Village, you will find drawings from Lee Hyun-se's *The Fearful Foreign Legion* comic on every wall and in every alley.
However, when you enter the village to take photos, there are still old houses imbued with memories.
Now, they have become abandoned houses without owners, but in front of them... The fir tree stands in the same spot now as it did then.
Next to the fir tree, on the road side of the abandoned house, there was a wooden veranda called Dongmaru, which used to be a spot where students basked in the sun during the winter.
After resting there for a while, I walked 10 or 20 li to my home.
I don't know how many more years I will be able to upload videos.
