你敢相信嗎？從「人造太陽」核聚變衍生出來的能量束鑽井技術，直接捨棄傳統鋼製鑽頭，靠毫米波把地底岩石熔化汽化，解決深井高溫毀損鑽頭的世紀難題。過去只有火山帶才能開發地熱，如今任何區域都可望鑽到十幾公里深攫取地心熱能。舊石油鑽井平台可改裝再利用，石油產業從對手變成參與者，若商轉成功就能拿到全天候零碳穩定電力，改變能源供應樣貌。

Can you believe it? The energy‑beam drilling technology derived from the "Artificial Sun" nuclear fusion abandons traditional steel drill bits. It melts and vaporizes underground rock with millimeter‑wave energy, solving the long‑standing problem of drill‑bit damage caused by high temperature in deep wells. In the past, geothermal energy could only be developed in volcanic zones. Now it is expected to drill more than ten kilometers deep to capture geothermal heat anywhere. Old oil rigs can be retrofitted for reuse, and the petroleum industry has shifted from a competitor to a participant.
