이번 영상에서는 필라델피아 다운타운 한가운데에 위치한 Reading Terminal Market,
미국에서 가장 오래된 실내 공공 시장 중 하나를 다녀왔습니다.

1893년에 문을 연 리딩 터미널 마켓은 과거 농부들이 기차를 타고 도시로 들어와 직접 기른 농산물과 고기, 치즈를 팔던 곳에서 시작해, 지금은 필라델피아의 역사와 일상, 그리고 다양한 이민 문화가 함께 살아 숨 쉬는 공간이 되었습니다.

마켓 안에는 80개가 넘는 상점들이 모여 있어 펜실베이니아 더치 음식부터 이탈리안, 중국, 태국, 멕시칸, 그리스 음식, 그리고 유대계 델리까지 정말 다양한 음식을 한자리에서 만나볼 수 있습니다.

• Hunger Burger – 더블 패티 스매시 치즈버거
• Hershel’s East Side Deli – 콘드비프 루벤 샌드위치
• Miller’s Twist – 프레첼 & 프레첼 랩 핫도그
• Beiler’s Donuts – 도넛, 수제 피클, 샐러드, 디저트

를 즐겼습니다.

또한 이번에는 방문하지는 못했지만, 펜실베이니아 더치 스타일의 아침 식사를 대표하는 Dutch Eating Place도 함께 소개했습니다.

In this video, I visit Reading Terminal Market,
one of the oldest indoor public markets in the United States,
located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia.

Opened in 1893, Reading Terminal Market began as a place where farmers traveled into the city by train to sell their own produce, meat, and cheese. Today, it remains a living space where Philadelphia’s history, everyday life, and immigrant food cultures come together.

The market is home to more than 80 vendors, offering an incredible range of foods—from Pennsylvania Dutch classics to Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Greek cuisine, and traditional Jewish deli dishes.

During this visit, we stopped by:
• By George! Pizza Pasta & Cheesesteaks – Philly cheesesteak
• Hunger Burger – Double patty smash cheeseburger
• Hershel’s East Side Deli – Reuben sandwich with corned beef
• Miller’s Twist – Soft pretzels and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs
• Beiler’s Donuts – Donuts, handmade pickles, salads, and desserts

We also introduced Dutch Eating Place, a well-known spot for Pennsylvania Dutch-style breakfast, though we didn’t get a chance to eat there this time.
