Aubrey Plaza Wasn’t Letting Amy Poehler’s Emmy Nomination Steal Her Moment 😭

Aubrey Plaza hears Amy Poehler’s Emmy nomination come up during her red carpet interview and immediately makes one thing clear: this is HER day. Her delivery makes the whole exchange worth replaying. 😭

Speaking with TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, the Parks and Recreation star turns a question about her costar into a perfectly ridiculous moment about herself. She jokes about selling her soul, points out her expensive dress, and keeps the interviewer working to follow wherever she takes the conversation.

My favorite part is how little she changes her expression. She’ll say something completely absurd, hold eye contact, and let the other person figure out how to respond. Even the conversation about the dress becomes another opportunity to keep the joke going.

She didn’t get dressed up to spend the entire interview discussing somebody else, and apparently she’s prepared to defend that position for as long as necessary.
