MEMORY MOVES ON FROM BUSAN TO ISTANBUL

UNESCO protects humanity's shared heritage and builds a sustainable future, and the World Heritage Committee serves as a platform for international cooperation at its center to discuss the conservation and management of heritage.

The Republic of Korea has also been making continuous efforts to preserve world heritage, and in July 2026, continued this journey with the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan.

The precious memories of the world gathered in Busan now head to Istanbul, a city of culture bridging Europe and Asia.
