US President Donald Trump has criticised the release of five terror suspects arrested outside the RAF Fairford base in the UK.
On Sunday, five men were arrested on suspicion of terrorism and explosive offences on the RAF base.
The suspects’ release shocked the president, with Trump revealing he was “surprised” by the decision while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office.
The president was asked if the suspects arrested were connected to Iran, with the UK base being used by the US when striking the regime.
“I'm surprised that they released them. I wouldn't have done that. Look, they've been very good. They worked with us very closely. We know everything about them. We would not have released them,” Trump said.
