CommSec’s James Gruber says the markets are pricing in a 93 per cent chance of an interest rate hike ahead of the Reserve Bank’s decision.
“Markets are pricing in a 93 per cent chance that there will be a 25-basis-point hike to 4.6 per cent today,” Mr Gruber told News24.
“The US tumbled overnight. The S&P 500 fell 0.8 per cent, and the Nasdaq was down 0.9 per cent.
“Copper was down two per cent, gold down 3.5 per cent to more than seven-month lows.”
