When Peter Jackson Fired Ryan Gosling For Being Too Fat

Ryan Gosling revealed a hilarious story about the wild lengths he went to while preparing for Peter Jackson's drama The Lovely Bones. Believing his character needed a heavier look, the actor gained 60 pounds before filming by melting tubs of Häagen-Dazs ice cream and drinking them whenever he was thirsty. He shot up from 150 to 210 pounds and was thrilled with his dramatic makeover. But when he proudly showed up on set, the production team took one look at him, declared that he looked terrible, and promptly fired him. Seeing Ryan Gosling drink melted ice cream to gain 60 pounds only to end up fat and unemployed is pure gold. #ryangosling #thelovelybones #peterjackson #haagendazs #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories
