A Day in the Life of a Nursing Student

Nursing student Jake Benoit starts his day in the hospital at 6:30 am. As a second semester Master of Nursing student in the Duke University School of Nursing, Jake spends one day a week in the hospital working with patients. The other days of the week he spends in class, learning through simulations in the Center for Nursing Discovery and studying to become a registered nurse.

In this episode of A Day in the Life at Duke, we follow Jake during his day as he cares for a patient at Duke University Hospital. We also join Jake in the Center for Nursing Discover, a part of the Duke University School of Nursing, for a simulation and skills training with fellow students in his nursing cohort.
