Join Duke students Helen Jin and Naomi Wordofa as they take you through a day in their lives studying abroad in Tanzania! Activities in their day can include doing field work studying animal footprints, cataloging bones, listening to lectures from anthropology professors, and playing games or watching a movie together.
Through the university course Paleoanthropology Field School: Human Origins Studies at Laetoli in Tanzania, students got the opportunity to camp and study for one month at Laeotoli, a renowned anthropology site located in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
This video was filmed by Deja Brooks, Duke Class of 2029 student, who also spent one month studying abroad in Tanzania and is a photography and videography intern for Duke University Duke Office of Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs.
