China delivers 2nd domestically built large cruise ship with more local tech

China's second large domestic cruise ship, Adora Flora City, was officially delivered in Shanghai today, November 6.

Built eight months faster than the nation's first mega-cruise ship, it features a higher rate of locally sourced materials and distinctive Chinese-style characteristics. Compared to its sister ship, the Adora Magic City, the new ship's gross tonnage has increased by 6,400 tonnes, and its total length has increased by 17.4 meters to 341 meters. It has 2,130 guest cabins and can accommodate 5,232 passengers at full capacity.

The ship is now conducting final trial runs before moving to its homeport at Nansha International Cruise Home Port in Guangzhou, where it will launch its maiden season on Nov 22.
