드디어 한국 음식이다 싶어 들어갔는데, 처음부터 전기가 나가 있었습니다. 곧 들어오겠지 싶어 앉았지만, 가스불 요리도 어렵고 비빔밥 하나 만드는 데 한참이 걸렸어요.

콩나물 대신 녹두 새싹이 들어간 비빔밥을 고추장에 쓱쓱 비벼 먹으니 얼마나 반갑던지요! 그런데 한 시간이 지나도 전기는 돌아오지 않았습니다. 마지막 밀크티는 문을 열고 자연광에 의지해 마셨답니다. 😂

한국이었다면 이런 상황에서 어땠을까요? 할인이라도 해주려나 싶었지만 밥값은 그대로 다 받았습니다.

After a week of eating Sri Lankan food, I was really craving Korean food. Then, by chance, I found a brunch café serving bibimbap!

I was so excited to finally have a Korean meal, but the power was already out when we arrived. I thought it would come back soon, so we sat down anyway.

Without electricity, cooking became difficult, and making our bibimbap took ages. Instead of bean sprouts, they used mung bean sprouts. I mixed everything with gochujang and finally felt like I was having a proper meal!

But even after an hour, the power still hadn't returned. We ended up drinking our milk tea by natural light coming through the open door. 😂

In Korea, people might have expected a discount, but we paid the full price.
