Best "Changing of the Guards" Experience at Deoksugung Palace with Globals - Vlog

Wow.. on May 20th, we got the chance to become the Royal Guards of the Deoksugung Palace - located right next to the Seoul City Hall.
The famous Palace that showed the "Changing of the Guards " Ceremony for decades... let us experience the whole ceremony.

We got the unique opportunity and could gather 16 people to join the performance.
We all got dressed up in various silk outfits equipped with swords, spears or "dictator sticks" ^^.
We had Ceremonial Master, Chief Officers, Drummer, the representative of the King, Guardians and Musicians.
We took some time to get dressed up, get some moustache and beard attached and then received instructions on how to move and swing our sticks or weapons.
Together with the "Real Royal Guard - Actors", we rehearsed briefly the whole ceremony before we had to go on to the real deal - in front of the spectators.
We were so exited, really ^^
Oh ~ and it was hot, with all the cloths and underclothing's and beard and hat etc.
The Musicians made the vibrant noises to call in more visitors and with hardly any knowledge on the ceremony ~ we just performed.
All in all, it was so exiting and much fun!
We shot wonderful photos and could experience this unique moment of becoming a real Royal Guard.
