Wow… have you ever imagined stepping into a cave and finding a temple inside?
That’s exactly what happened when we visited Songunsa Temple in Ulsan! ⛰️✨
Oh my gosh… the moment we stepped into the cool stone tunnel, everything felt so calm and mystical.
And guess what? This place used to be an amethyst mine! They transformed it into a beautiful underground Buddhist temple, and it honestly blew our minds.
There were glowing lanterns, echoing chants, and even a massive stone Buddha sitting peacefully in the heart of the cave.
And outside? You’re surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Sinbulsan Mountain. The air was crisp, the birds were singing, and the vibe? Total peace 🌿🍃.
One of the most unique parts? They enshrine cremation remains inside statues of Amitabha Buddha – it’s a modern, spiritual twist you’d never expect! The little stones are called "Sari" in Korean.
It’s also right next to Amethyst Cave Park, so you can make it a full magical day trip.
Whether you're looking for healing, inspiration, or just a cool place to escape the noise of the city, Songunsa is such a hidden gem.
Stay tuned for the video – this place is unlike anything we've ever seen. Don’t forget to bring your curiosity and maybe a cozy hoodie... it gets chilly in the cave! 🧘♀️💜
