Wemby Didn't Sleep ALL Summer… 😳🏀

Victor Wembanyama hasn’t forgotten the pain of losing the NBA Finals. After the San Antonio Spurs fell to the New York Knicks in five games, Wemby revealed at Spurs Media Day that the loss followed him throughout the offseason, bringing difficult emotions and even nights where it was hard to sleep. But instead of running from that heartbreak, the 22-year-old superstar is using it as fuel, saying he “couldn’t imagine a better motivation” heading into the 2026-27 NBA season. After leading San Antonio to the Finals in just his third NBA season, winning Defensive Player of the Year and establishing himself as one of basketball’s biggest superstars, Wembanyama has made it clear the Spurs want even more. With De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and the young Spurs core alongside him, San Antonio enters the new season with championship expectations, revenge on their minds and their sights set on the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Wemby says they’re fighting for the “top spot of the mountain” and after coming that close to an NBA championship, the Spurs’ revenge tour is officially beginning.
