自行車歷經百餘年發展，誕生多項打破常規的創新：瑞典頸圈式氣囊頭盔、NASA 記憶金屬免充氣輪胎、陶瓷滾珠無鏈傳動、自行車 ABS 防抱死制動；中國包含廈門空中自行車道、業餘工程師研發的自平衡無人騎行原型車、已經小規模運營的氫燃料電池單車；大疆從無人機賽道跨界，推出 Avinox 電助力馬達，衝擊博世、禧瑪諾的高端市場。多數創新雖概念亮眼，但部分受成本、量產、配套基礎設施限制，尚無法全面普及。兩輪產業許多重大突破，並非行內廠商迭代，而是跨界技術帶來的換道突圍。
After over a hundred‑year evolution, bicycles have seen multiple rule‑breaking innovations: Swedish collar‑style air‑bag helmet, NASA memory‑metal airless tire, ceramic‑ball chain‑less transmission, bicycle ABS anti‑lock braking. Chinese examples include Xiamen elevated bicycle highway, self‑balancing rider‑less prototype built by an amateur engineer, and small‑scale operated hydrogen‑fuel‑cell bikes. DJI crossed over from drone industry and launched Avinox e‑bike motor, challenging the high‑end dominance of Bosch and Shimano. Though many concepts look promising, some are restrained by cost, mass‑production difficulties and supporting infrastructure, preventing full‑scale popularization. Quite a number of major breakthroughs in two‑wheeled industry come from cross‑sector technology rather than incremental improvement by insiders.
