Today’s journey takes us to Naksan Park, one of the most beloved sunset spots in Seoul, on a calm and clear evening. We begin our walk just as the golden hour sets in, casting a warm, radiant glow across the sprawling cityscape and the rolling ridges of Mount Naksan.
On this gentle late afternoon stroll, we follow the historic path along the Seoul City Wall trail. As we slowly make our way down the fortress slope, twilight settles over the capital, and the ancient stone ramparts become softly illuminated against the deepening blue sky. The route offers a mesmerizing contrast between the quiet heritage of the historic wall and the vibrant urban lights waking up in the valley below.
Descending further toward Dongdaemun, we emerge into the energetic evening streets, arriving right at the heart of Dongdaemun Design Plaza on the opening night of Seoul Light. The futuristic curved architecture of DDP transforms into a colossal digital canvas, radiating with brilliant light media art that dazzles the crowds gathered to experience the festival's very first night.
