Hello, this is Dio.
Today I have made soap with snow flowers embedded in them using the dog soap recipe from a previous video.
I depicted my passionate desire to go see Frozen 2 in this soap lol
I haven't been able to watch it yet ;(

To make the snow flowers, I premade 600g of soap,
then sliced it in to 5mm slices.
Then, using a plunger cutter, I cut out the snow flower shapes.

I thought about making the snow flower 3-dimensional but decided to try another time.

Using the plunger cutter and slicing the soap into 5mm pieces wasn't easy,
but this technique seems like it could be used in many different ways!

sweet almond oil 90g
castor oil 30g
coconut oil 120g
palm oil 120g

distilled water 148.5g
sodium hydroxide 66.3g

white: titanium dioxide
blue: titanium dioxide & indigo infused oil



※ Let's start with the things to be cautious about.

1. Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH=40.00) is highly alkalic. Please ensure you put on your gloves, safety glasses, and mask at all time to prevent any burns.

2. Please put NaOH into the liquid. Not other way around. (NaOH = Solute, Liquid = Solvent)

3. When using dairy products such as breast milk or milk, please regularly check the temperature of the liquid-NaOH mixture to make sure the temperature doesn't go above 40˚C.

4. Do not touch the soap mixture with bare hands.

5. The finished soap cannot be used immediately. It can be used after six to seven weeks of drying and fermenting in shady and windy place.

오늘은 지난 저의 영상 중 애견비누의 레시피를 활용해서
눈꽃이 콕콕 박힌 비누를 만들었어요.
(겨울왕국2를 보고싶다는 의지를 가득 담아보았습니다 ㅋㅋㅋ 아직 못봄 ㅠㅠ)

눈꽃을 만들기 위해 미리 비누 600g을 만들어놓고
5mm 두께로 슬라이스를 한 후, 플런저 커터를 이용해 사이즈별로 찍어냈어요.

눈꽃 무늬를 입체적으로 할까 고민했지만, 입체 디자인은 다음번에 도전하기로 했어요 =)

플런저(plunger) 커터와 5mm로 슬라이스 하는게 쉽진 않았지만 다양한 기법에 활용할 수 있을 것 같아요!

※비누 만들기 전 주의사항

1. 가성소다는 강알칼리성 물질이므로 환기가 잘 되는곳에서 작업을 하시고,
반드시 장갑과 안경, 마스크를 착용하여 화상을 입지 않도록 주의하셔야 합니다.

2. 반드시 액체에 가성소다를 넣으셔야 합니다.
반대로 넣으실 경우 내용물이 튀어 화상의 위험이 있습니다.

3. 모유나 우유와같은 유제품을 사용하 실 경우 가성소다를 섞었을 때 40˚C 이상 올라가지 않도록
온도체크를 틈틈히 해주세요.

4. 비누반죽은 강알칼리성 상태이므로 절대 맨손으로 만지지 마세요.

5. 완성된 비누는 비누화의 안정이 되어있지 않으므로 곧바로 사용할 수 없습니다.
약 6주에서 7주동안 그늘지고 바람이 잘 통하는곳에서 충분한 건조와 숙성을 거친 후에 사용하세요.
