Christmas tree forest with an igloo soap │ Cold Process soap │ 크리스마스의 숲 비누

Hello, this is Dio.
Preparing for the upcoming Christmas, I made a Christmas tree forest with an igloo.
using the silicone mold and the coloring that I had been gifted.
I don’t use artificial colorings when I am making soap because my skin hasn’t perfectly healed from the side effects of antibiotics.
However, this is food coloring used for chocolate.
I decided to use it since it’s food coloring, but it still makes me nervous because they still are artificial colorings.
These colorings were better when mixed into the oils first rather than mixing them directly into the mixture.

※ Let's start with the things to be cautious about.

1. Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH=40.00) is highly alkalic. Please ensure you put on your gloves, safety glasses, and mask at all time to prevent any burns.

2. Please put NaOH into the liquid. Not other way around. (NaOH = Solute, Liquid = Solvent)

3. When using dairy products such as breast milk or milk, please regularly check the temperature of the liquid-NaOH mixture to make sure the temperature doesn't go above 40˚C.

4. Do not touch the soap mixture with bare hands.

5. The finished soap cannot be used immediately. It can be used after six to seven weeks of drying and fermenting in shady and windy place.

이제 곧 다가올 크리스마스를 기다리며, 선물받은 색소와 실리콘 몰드를 이용해 이글루가 함께있는 크리스마스 트리 숲을 만들어봤어요.
저는 항생제 후유증으로 인해 피부가 완벽하게 건강히 회복되지 않아 비누에 인공색소를 사용하지 않는데, 선물받은 색소는 초콜렛용 식용 색소라고 해요.
식용색소라고 하니까 일단 써보기로 마음먹었지만, 여전히 색소라고 하면 긴장되는것이 사실이랍니다.
선물받은 색소는 비누반죽에 곧바로 섞는것 보다 오일에 잘 풀어서 사용하는게 더 깔끔했어요.

※비누 만들기 전 주의사항

1. 가성소다는 강알칼리성 물질이므로 환기가 잘 되는곳에서 작업을 하시고,
반드시 장갑과 안경, 마스크를 착용하여 화상을 입지 않도록 주의하셔야 합니다.

2. 반드시 액체에 가성소다를 넣으셔야 합니다.
반대로 넣으실 경우 내용물이 튀어 화상의 위험이 있습니다.

3. 모유나 우유와같은 유제품을 사용하 실 경우 가성소다를 섞었을 때 40˚C 이상 올라가지 않도록
온도체크를 틈틈히 해주세요.

4. 비누반죽은 강알칼리성 상태이므로 절대 맨손으로 만지지 마세요.

5. 완성된 비누는 비누화의 안정이 되어있지 않으므로 곧바로 사용할 수 없습니다.
약 6주에서 7주동안 그늘지고 바람이 잘 통하는곳에서 충분한 건조와 숙성을 거친 후에 사용하세요.
