Now that a federal judge has taken action to stop the Kennedy Center's demolition, protesters are taking action of their own. On Friday afternoon, protesters will surround the building for a demonstration called "Hands Around the Kennedy Center." The organizer, Hands Off the Arts co-founder Mallory Miller, is a former Kennedy Center worker who helped manage its dance programming for two years before being fired after unionizing.
