Playstation has gotta just be straight up self sabotaging at this point
The new Kojima game was quietly set to be cancelled by Playstation Studios until Xbox scooped up a pretty-much guaranteed slam dunk of an exclusive game release
Rather than embracing the spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid - Sony just straight up told the devs of Physint that they wouldn’t get to finish their game under their umbrella, let ALONE get a physical release of it
And something’s off here - Sony’s had such a leg up on Microsoft for quite a long time until recently - and now between the discontinuation of game discs, ending Destiny, raising console prices, and now THIS it just feels like they’re hemorrhaging the good will of their customers for the heck of it
And while, sure, Phisint will STILL get made now that they’re with Xbox - but Hideo’s had a bizarre loyalty to Playstation for YEARS, and it feels kinda like the whole Konami situation happening all over again - but at least this time he gets to keep the IP
One of yinz’ll be able to keep a whole free gaming PC we’re giving away if you watch us over on Twitch, though - and don’t forget to check out our full-length non-shorts Youtube videos, too
