This account is going to be about one thing now: finding my wife.
I'm recently single. And I'm an optimist -- but sometimes I worry I'll die alone. My dad died of cancer over a decade ago. And I had an intimate, up-close view of death. I saw him face the end -- and the thought of doing that alone terrifies me.
All my friends are married too. And I see all the love they get -- and I want that. I want someone to come home to. I want to have a family.
I'm not leaving the life I want up to fate. I'm going to put myself out there. Meet people. Take chances. Get rejected. Be embarrassed. And document it all.
I don't know who she is yet. I don't know when we'll meet. Maybe she's watching this right now. Maybe this is how our paths cross. I don't know.
But I'm going to do everything I can to find you.
