Tiny 'tiger'? Meet the first new cat species in 100 years

This is the Tilcayo, a wild cat new to science found in Bolivia's misty Yungas forest. At around 3 pounds (1.4 kg) and 18 inches long (46cm), it's smaller than the average house cat. Genetic data confirmed it's a separate species – the first living cat to be formally named in more than a century. Researchers say it split from its closest tiger-cat relative about 1.4 million years ago.
